The Timeless Collection was the first collection I launched in September 2008. All the accessories in this collection can be made to order in gold or silver tone. The most popular designs in  this Collection have been Christabelle, Lotte, Rosamond, the Ariel full band and Charley but it is Georgia and Michaela who have been constant favourites with my Brides whether they be Studio, Country Bride, online, recommendations or Bridal Fair Clients.

This is Christabelle, photographed outside my Studio at Smithbrook Kilns, a stunning swarovski crystal tiara. I use swarovski crystal elements and faux pearls. Made to order in silver non tarnish plate as shown or non tarnish gold tone.

Proms & Maids Collection New for 2016

The Proms and Maids Collection,  my chosen for you hair accessory collection. These are beautiful accessories designed for Brides, that I have chosen to compliment my own brand Impressions Of You, for Bridesmaids and Proms. They are quite lovely.

The pin on the left has beautiful  luxe fabric ivory flowers and high quality clear crystals on a silver plated finish large pin, I have decided to simply call her Rosebud.

The pretty sparky comb on the right  is a vintage inspired crystal bridal hair comb with clear crystals on a silver tone finish and measures approx 6.5 cm long.  I will be adding these lovely accessories together with hair clips to the webstore the first week of January and they will be available in the Studio at Smithbrook Kilns.

Necklace by Jewelcraft

Coro founders Emanuel Cohn and Carl Rosenberger began a partnership in 1901, together they opened factories in America, Mexico, Canada and England. Not permitted to use their trade name Coro in England, which was formed from the first two letters of each of their surnames, due to the existence of the already established Ciro, British trading was done under the name Jewelcraft.

Here we have an adorable example of Jewelcraft, with pretty pastel multi coloured crystals, although not signed, this piece is immaculate as if treasured and shows no signs of wear to the enamel, the stones are all intact and the gold tone finish perfect.

I once saw a beautiful necklace of the same design but the crystals were all blue, there was a matching bracelet and earrings. Somewhere out there I am sure is a bracelet and earrings to match this one and I do not doubt brooch to. Oh to have the set, how lovely.

Lily (1968) by Sarah Coventry

Sarah Coventry fans will love this large brooch. Charles H Stuart founded Sarah Coventry (Jewellery) in Newark, New York in 1949. Sarah Coventry was marketed through home parties until 1984 when it was discontinued. This example which is in pristine condition was made in 1968 and perhaps not surprisingly is called Lily. A pair of clip on earrings were made to accompany the Lily brooch and were identical although of course smaller.

Marquetta Brooch from Kigu

Posted on 24 May, 2015 at 15:20 Comments comments (0)

This brooch was made by the London Jewellers Kigu in the 50s. These brooches were 22 Karat gold plated and are as beautiful now as they were when they were first made. This particular brooch came from the Marquetta range and has been reworked into what is now the Athena Headpiece in the Pegasus Collection.

I absolutely love vintage and vintage costume jewellery in particular, it was so beautifully designed and made. Here we have a collection from my studio in Smithbrook Kilns. Can you spot the stunning Coro leaf (50s) and Sarah Coventry Lily (60s) still beautiful decades later. There are also some lovely cold painted brooches an unusual enamel and crystal brooch and a stunning crystal brooch that separates into dress clips

The Xanthe Headpiece from the Pegasus Colection

Posted on 9 May, 2015 at 16:00 Comments comments (0)
This is Xanthe, a headpiece I designed to be worn on the side of the head. I started with a 40s rhinestone brooch which has an amazing flower at its heart and swirls coming out at the side. Keeping with the theme I have used diamante drops from a vintage necklace and have sewn onto the lace small diamante beads in a similar circular shape. I added a gold tone leave, glass pearl drops and tiny pearls from a vintage pearl necklace. I layered and then beaded the lace in gold and silver tones.  The Xanthe headpiece is a real statement and in the Pegasus Collection.
